AUTOCINE EN MADRID

El día 24 de febrero se abrió al público el primer Autocine de la zona centro de España. La primera película que se proyectará será la mítica “Grease”.

Tiene 27000 metros cuadrados y una capacidad para más de 300 vehículos. En este autocine se proyectarán tanto películas clásicas como los estrenos más taquilleros. La pantalla es de 250 metros cuadrados y el sonido de la película se escuchará en los coches a través de la radio.

Además el espacio dispondrá de comida típica americana y varios food trucks.

DRIVE-IN MOVIE IN MADRID

On February the 24th the first drive-in cinema in the center of Spain was opened to the public. The first film to be screened will be the mythical "Grease".

It has 27000 square meters and a capacity for more than 300 vehicles. This drive-in cinema will project classic films and the film premiers. The screen is 250 square meters and the sound of the movie will be hear in the cars through the radio.

In addition, the space will have typical American food and many food trucks.

Hitchcock

Hitchcock, más allá del suspense

Tanto aquellos que se consideran cinéfilos, como los que no, han oído hablar de Alfred Hitchcock. Este excelente director dejó su huella en el mundo del cine y en la sociedad de su época y es por eso que el espacio fundación telefónica le ha dedicado la exposición: “Hitchcock, más allá del suspense” donde se tratan su vida y la evolución de sus obras. La exposición, que está a punto de acabar es gratuita. ¿Te la vas a perder?

Se realizan visitas guiadas los martes a las 12:00 y a las 18:00. Los miércoles a las 18:00 y los sábados a las 12:00.

"Hitchcock, beyond suspens"

 

Both, those who consider themselves as cinephiles, as well as those who don’t, have heard of Alfred Hitchcock. This excellent director left his footprint in the world of the cinema and also in the society in which he lived. That’s why the “Espacio fundación telefónica” has dedicated him the exhibition: "Hitchcock, beyond suspens" where his life and the evolution of his work are reflected. The exhibition, which is about to end, is free. Are you going to waste this opportunity?

Guided tours are held on Tuesdays at 12:00 and at 18:00. Wednesdays at 18:00 and Saturdays at 12:00.

Uvas y Preuvas

PREUVAS y UVAS.

Para los que no lo conozcáis en España existe la tradición del día 31 de Diciembre tomar 12 uvas con las campanadas del reloj que representan los doce meses del año, aquel que consiga comérselas tendrá un año de buena suerte. Para ello, se utiliza el reloj de la Puerta del Sol de Madrid. Algunos dicen que la tradición viene desde 1909, pero cómo siempre el inicio concreto es confuso.

Sí queréis disfrutar de esta tradición española, tenéis dos opciones: hacerlo desde casa como la gran mayoría de los españoles o dirigiros a la Puerta del Sol para hacerlo con el reloj en directo. Sí optáis por hacerlo en directo os recomiendo que estéis allí temprano ya que el aforo es limitado. Podéis ir el mismo día 31 o el día 30 a lo que se llama comúnmente las “preuvas”, pero en este caso tendréis que tomar 12 chucherías. Esperamos que de una u otra forma disfrutéis de esta tradición.

GRAPES

For those who don’t know it, in Spain exits a tradition that consists on taking 12 grapes the night of the 31 of December. Every time that the bell of the clock sounds you should eat one grape. These grapes represent the twelve months of the year and the one who could eat them all will have a year of good luck. We use the clock of Puerta del Sol. It’s said that the tradition comes from 1909 but, as usually the exact moment in which it began is unknown.

If you want to enjoy this Spanish tradition, you have two options: You can do it at home as the vast majority of the Spaniards or do it in direct at Puerta del Sol. If you choose to do it at Puerta del Sol I recommend you arriving there early as the capacity is limited. You can go there the same day 31 or go the 30 to what is commonly known as "preuvas", but in this case you will have to take 12 jellys. We hope that one way or another you enjoy this tradition.
